Admission Procedures

Complete the following DEGREE PROGRAM APPLICATION in its
entirety to apply for enrollment into one of American Century University's Degree Programs. Do not use this application if you are
applying for one of our Certificate Courses.
Use the Certificate Course Application instead.


All applicants must submit the following:

The completed application for enrollment form.
College/University transcripts. Student copies or photocopies if available. Official transcripts sent directly from the schools you attend will be required within 60 days of your enrollment.
Documentation of the successful completion of any specialized training programs (degree related) that you are requesting credit for.
Current resume - curriculum vitae or the University Information Form.
Submit the initial deposit of US$150.00 by wire, money order, or personal check; also by credit card from USA or Canada only.
The Application will be processed when the above requirements have been met.

Upon receipt by the university of your application, your application will:
(Foreign Applications will be handled via airmail, e-mail, or fax)
  • Be reviewed by an evaluation counselor for a program evaluation.
  • Following the evaluation, the counselor will call you to advise you of the results of your evaluation. You will be asked if you concur with the evaluation and if you wish to proceed with the program and have your application for admission submitted to the Admissions Committee.

    The Admissions Committee meets weekly. Your application will be submitted at the next committee meeting.
     
  • If your application is accepted by the university, you will be notified by telephone and also by a letter from the President of the university.
  • Your deposit will be fully refunded if you are not accepted.
    Once accepted, if for some reason you decide not to pursue the program, you must advise the university in writing within 5 working days of your written acceptance to receive a full refund of your deposit.
  • If after 5 working days you should decide not to pursue the program, refer to the tuition refund policy stated in the university’s general catalog.

Plans


AN INITIAL DEPOSIT OF ($150.00 minimum) IS REQUIRED

  PLAN 1
Payment received in full within two weeks of formal notice of acceptance by the university, I may deduct $400 from the balance owing.
 
  PLAN 2
Provided 50% of tuition payment is received within two weeks of formal notice of acceptance by the university, I may deduct $200 from the balance owing.
 
    PLAN 3
25% of balance of tuition is received within two weeks of formal notice of acceptance by the university.
 
  PLAN 4
Student will provide employer's acknowledgement letter of their willingness to pay the balance of my tuition on a quarterly payment plan. First quarter payment to be paid within two weeks.
 
NOTE: Plan 2 and 3 will be paid at $100 per month or more beginning on the first of the month following the date of my 50% or 25% payment.

No interest or finance charges for extended payment plans. All tuition must be paid prior to graduation.

I hereby consent to allow the university to list my name, city, degree, program, and employer’s name as “Directory Information” as defined by the Family Education and Privacy Rights Act, Title 20, United States Codes, 1232g, Subdivision (5) (A).
 
All questions I have asked have been answered by a representative of the university and I am satisfied with the answers given. I understand that the university is licensed with the State of New Mexico in compliance with Education Codes, 1978 21-23-1 to 21-23-15.
 
I certify that all information contained in this application is true, complete, and correct to the best of my knowledge and belief, and that all academic work I submit for my degree program will be entirely the result of my own efforts, except for the use of text editors or translators if needed.
 
The Institution is legally approved to award degrees to all students who meet graduation requirements as set forth.
